Youthful idealism; Outdated concept.
Starting salaries; Our governing precept.
We scratch, we strive for all interviews
But turn our backs on humanitarian abuse.

Where have all the protests gone?
The youthful verve, the ancient scorn.
They speak of generation gap
But what they’re saying is all crap.

I suggest a new revolution
Where young people seek absolution.
Though our leaders may not be bad or evil,
They need some comment from the people.

We accept the system, we are sucked in.
We do not fight our comfortable plight.
We did not question the Iraq deception
Like Cromwell might.
Bark worse than our bite.
