Harsh but Fair
Owned by the few, bending all we know that’s true
to meet their twisted ends and I guess it all depends on the
Culture of the self
Social justice on the shelf
I’m doing the best for me, me, me,
And I know it is a sin
But God should let me in
’cause I go to fucking church every Sunday
Resplendent in their BMWs
They travel around thinking they’re the big news
Blind to all they do not wish to see
They sit in their lounge and drink herbal tea
They dodge, evade and duck all forms of income tax
But write an angry letter if their train comes off the tracks
They say they believe in democracy
But all that they stand for is me me me, it’s the
Culture of the self
Social justice on the shelf
I’m doing the best for me, me, me,
And I know it is a sin
But God should let me in
’cause I go to fucking church every Sunday
I think that you should all be disembowelled
Poetic justice for the shmuchs you screwed around
You may wonder how I’ve got the guts to care
But I think you’ll find I’m merely harsh but fair
Harsh but fair.
